”Would you describe past relationships as a blessing or a lesson?”

That was the topic up for discussion on Tuesday 17 March 2015. And our responses:: “Forgave a previous partner a few weeks ago when I realised although we broke up it led me to where I needed to be – hanging out with mates before going to the Mardi Gras parade to celebrate who I am, don’t trust people, keep your eyes open going into a relationship, from an accounting background so have to learn about people, if you try to fix things sometimes you have to accept you can’t change things, lessons are blessings, have high expectations and put them on partners so I’m bitter and twisted, it’s hard to let go, a first relationship after living in a straight world so I put them on a pedestal, I look back and see the good in a relationship as well as the bad, trust your gut instinct, feel blessed to have the people in my life that I have, learn to accept own flaws, can’t go into a relationship being sceptical, can be a deal breaker if you have kids and they don’t like kids, maintain 100% optimism and 100% fatalism.”
