Tuesday 7 April the lovely Lin asked the question of whether there were certain pieces of music that reminded you of certain relationships or situations. Naturally ‘Hit the Road Jack’ comes to mind but there were other notable tunes:

We talked a lot about music the other night so I dug out this old photo of ABBA in one of their early jobs advertising a Stockholm rotisserie chicken shop - Klemsvigs.

“What I Like About You” and a girlfriend from the early 90s,”Seven Wonders” (Fleetwood Mac), “Living Doll” (Cliff Richards) every Abba song, “Tainted Love” blasting from a bar in San Francisco,”Smoke on the Water” “Walk on the Wildside”, the Carpenters, Absolutely Fabulous theme song, anything from the Smiths, Madonna, Tina Turner, Melissa Ethridge, Sherbert, Dragon, B52s, Patsy Cline – all her fabulous songs in “Desert Hearts”, “Turning Japanese”, Indigo Girls, Cher, Annie Lennox, Blondie and – the ones amongst us born in the 1990s – dancing to “Dancing Queen”.

(Thank you to Wendy who supplied this old photo of ABBA in one of their early jobs advertising a Stockholm rotisserie chicken shop - Klemsvigs.)
