The lovely Chanters facilitated and asked the question: “What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?”: “it will get better, don’t trust anybody anytime and be optimistic, don’t get surprised that you’re going to be surprised, don’t worry about health stuff, try harder, do what your mother says, come out early and have lots of affairs, go to university and concentrate on the university life rather than working part time (if you can afford it), be prepared to have three or so careers, don’t be frightened by parent’s advice, stop worrying about stuff, don’t make concrete plans, don’t be too serious, laugh every day-bring joy to others-love well-practice gratitude (which pharmacological giant is supplying New’s pills these days?), you have lots of time you don’t need to rush, at the end of the day school is not that important, set a few goals, be comfortable with yourself but bring your brains along, get into sci-fi and action movies earlier as they teach you things”
