The topic for discussion on Tuesday 11 August 2015 was (along the lines of) do things happen for a reason or do we cause them to happen? And our responses – “That’s a false binary as the two intermingle and influence each other, who cares, I code too, who cares just enjoy, things do happen for a reason but how we deal with it is how we move forward, can change things that you thought unchangeable, life is so much richer being out, as a Christian things do happen for a reason, there is a purpose, how you decide to work it out, believe in nothing except enjoying the next cup of tea, it’s a journey and you keep on learning, live life creatively, just deal with it, do good unto others, intuition never let me down, shit happens and its random, don’t wait for things to come our way, only what you believe in comes true, everything happens for a reason, when terrible things happen you can look back later and see it was good, things can be awful and a privilege at the same time, dialectical relationship between events and how we deal with them, whole lot of luck in what happens to us, realise you can’t re-write history so you can let it go and move on.” It was a very interesting discussion and thanks to Nurul for introducing the subject. We have a heads up on the topic for next week. The lovely Standing Lin will facilitate and asks the question: “Why do you do imbecilic things when you fall in love and what are the imbecilic things you’ve done?” Come along and share those interesting experiences and ideas with us.
